Her master, Hitetsu, comes back and gets angry at Luffy for eating all the rice that was meant for O-Tama. O-Tama returns from the river and gets sick from drinking the water, which is contaminated by pollutants from Kaido鈥檚 factories. O-Tama tells Luffy that she is waiting for a certain man to come back to the village. When Luffy learns that this man is Ace, he tells her bluntly that Ace is dead. Later, Hitetsu explains that the Amigasa Village, which Ace had saved four years ago, was destroyed more recently by a pirate called X Drake who joined Kaido鈥檚 army. Even though there are better places to live on the island, Hitetsu remains in the region with O-Tama as he too is waiting for someone. Meanwhile, Hawkins and his men head to Kuri.
