Episode 2

Episode 2 of 30

Nigel Havers presides as five sellers aim to get the best price for their items, including a Mobo horse, a pair of brass lamps, Guinness buttons, a vintage pitch marker and a card table.

Nigel Havers welcomes five more sellers to the Bidding Room, where they try to sell items to professional dealers who are on the lookout for interesting pieces, with help from expert Simon Bower.

First through the doors is Vicky. She has brought in a very unlikely pair of items – a ride-on toy horse and some royal commemorative bricks. She’s targeting toy fanatic Adi in the room, but will the eclectic mix of items appeal to any of the other dealers?

Next in is Stephen, bringing with him a pair of opulent brass lamps. He picked them up second-hand, but they have sat unused ever since. Will he be able to find a new home for them today?

Third into Edinburgh HQ is Fiona, with some rare Guinness waistcoat buttons. They are highly collectable, so she’s hoping the dealers won’t have their wallets too tightly buttoned up and that they'll bid big.

Jimmy and Ben are in next, with an item that's a mystery – even to them! Purchased from a farm sale a few years ago, a vintage pitch marker became a garden ornament. Will any of the dealers be willing to dream up a future for their item and cross the finish line?

And finally, Daniel might have a trick up his sleeve. He has brought along a card table which he has lovingly restored himself. Will any of the dealers be willing to show their hand and part with some cash?

The dealers today are James, Jacqui, Adi, Ian and Jo.
