Hoping to create their dream B&B, best friends Amanda and Alan embark on their first room design as they renovate an open plan dining room and foyer. But Alan’s dreams of a lavish reception area to receive their guests are soon quashed when Amanda suggests his special space should be a cupboard under the stairs. Undeterred, Alan is determined to create a welcoming reception space and obsesses over his longed-for dream of an 80s-style pamphlet display.

To get some impressive design inspiration, the DIY duo head to the outskirts of Vejer to a boutique hotel filled with local salvaged treasures. They even take the helm and go back of house to gain some work experience serving the B&B guests breakfast, with chaotic results!

Keen to revive a reclaimed gem of her own, Amanda visits the largest reclamation yard in Andalusia to upcycle an old Spanish door into a statement dining table, but Alan fears she may have taken her upcycling too far and is bluntly honest with his friend. Using her powers of persuasion, Amanda is soon talking him back around.

Meanwhile, in the hilltop town of Lanjaron, Amanda has an ulterior motive for her visit – not only does she want to get creative making some giant wicker lampshades for the dining room, she’s also excited about the anti-ageing properties of the local spring water. But she gets more than she bargained for when a snake makes an unexpected visit during her wicker-weaving lesson!
