Linton Stephens showcases the best performances by 大象传媒 orchestras, choirs, ensembles and other great performing groups from Europe and around the globe.

This week on Classical Live, we celebrate 25 years of the 大象传媒 New Generation Artists scheme. Founded in 1999, the programme supports some of the world鈥檚 most exciting young instrumentalists, ensembles and singers at the start of their international careers, through performance and broadcast opportunities on Radio 3.

We begin the programme with a live concert from London鈥檚 Wigmore Hall given by former 大象传媒 Radio 3 New Generation Artists, the Calidore Quartet. They will perform the achingly nostalgic final quartets of Korngold and Beethoven.

In this special day of programming, we will also hear performances from New Generation Artists former and current, including horn and harp duo Alec Frank-Gemmill and Ellie Johnston and violinist Maria Duenas, to name but a few. There will also be a live concert at 3pm when pianist Julius Asal joins the 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Alexander Scriabin's Piano Concerto.
