This week on Classical Live, there will be a celebration of Spanish music. At the beginning of the programme, a performance of Gerhard's Pedrelliana from the 大象传媒 Philharmonic. Our centre piece is Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez performed by guitarist Pablo S谩inz-Villegas, the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra and conductor Alondra de la Parra. Additionally, there will be music by 17th century Spanish composer Jos茅 Castel. Plus, the artist spotlight this week is Spanish conductor, composer and viol player, Jordi Savall.
Elizabeth also selects a violin sonata each day. Today, violinist Christian Tetzlaff and pianist Kiveli Dorken perform Franck's Sonata in A Major for Violin and Piano
