Elizabeth Alker showcases the best performances by 大象传媒 orchestras, choirs, ensembles and other great performing groups from Europe and around the globe.

This week on Classical Live, there will be a celebration of Spanish music. At the beginning of the programme, a performance of Manuel Falla's El Amor Brujo performed by the 大象传媒 Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Francisco Coll and Spanish pianist Noelia Rodiles plays Schubert. There will also be a live performance from the 大象传媒 Concert Orchestra. They will showcase a variety of Spanish composers including Bizet, Joaqu铆n Rodrigo and Enrique Fern谩ndez Arb贸s. Plus, the artist spotlight this week is Spanish conductor, composer and viol player, Jordi Savall.

Elizabeth also selects a violin sonata each day. Today, violinist Ana Mar铆a Valderrama and pianist David Kadouch perform Poulenc's Violin Sonata and Hahn's Violin Sonata in C major.
