Heathland

Ornithological series presented by Bill Oddie. In this programme he visits a Dorset nature reserve, the New Forest and heathland areas to meet a variety of birds.

It is Bank Holiday weekend and Bill visits Dorset to search for peace and quiet - and birds. He starts the holiday by visiting Radipole Lake RSPB Reserve, a great place for introducing common birds to common people! Here he leaves the noise of the holiday crowds behind him and watches a family of swans with cygnets, great crested grebe chicks and a Cetti's warbler - a recent arrival from France.
