Bountiful bunnies
There’s an awful lot of bunnies in East Kent. We’ve all heard the phrase ‘breed like rabbits’, but do they? Yes: rabbits can breed when they’re only four months old. They have a long breeding season from January to August during which a healthy doe can produce well over 20 kittens. Now there’s a good one for pub quizzes. What do you call a baby rabbit? Not Thumper or something like that, it’s a kitten. Bill Oddie spots a rabbit up a tree. It’s only a couple of feet off the ground, but he's never seen that before - watch out for your window boxes!
