Contemporary and classical tracks from around the world with Mark Coles.
Mark Coles really picks up the tempo on this week's World of Music. Get ready for a show that breaks away from the starting blocks and races away at full speed.
He'll be playing a UK/Cuban collaboration, there's a track from S Africa - a type of music known as Shangaan that runs at an exhausting 180 beats per minutes - some classic Orchestra Baobab, Ghanaian Kusum beat from the mid 1970s, funky German brass bands and a cantering delight from Syria. Get set, ready, go for half an hour of great music.
