Creating a stumpery

Joe Swift explains how to add another dimension to a shady garden spot by creating a stumpery. Using logs and old stumps, Joe creates the perfect habitat for beneficial insects, decomposers and micro beasts like the endangered stag beetle. This is also the perfect spot in which to add the beauty of ferns and their woodland counterparts.
