Liam Logan and James Fenton travel from Slemish to the Ards in search of the Hamely Tongue. On the way they visit James' childhood home where he first encountered the Ulster-Scots language. They learn about the great writers James Orr and David Herbison and meet some of today's Ulster-Scots writers such as Philip Robinson and Charlie Gillen. Ulster-Scots Poetry is recited throughout the programme, including from pupils in Balnamore Primary School.
