From Humph to Tony Kofi
Humphrey Lyttelton changed the sound of his band in the late 1950s while Ronnie Scott and Tubby Hayes made jazz sit up and take notice with their short-lived but well rmembered Jazz Couriers.
All points from Alex Welsh and Ben Webster to singer Esperanza Spalding and leader Tony Kofi are featured. Alex Welsh plays on a 大象传媒 Jazz Club with none other than Dickie Wells on trombone while Ben Webster plays a traditional tune as only Ben Webster can.
Tony Kofi pays homage to pianist Thelonius Monk while Esperanza Spalding might come up with music that鈥檚 a little different but she鈥檚 just been nominated for a Grammy.
