James Moody died last Thursday and we shall have a listen back to 15 years ago and his 70th birthday celebrations. Also in this week鈥檚 show we hear Gerry Mulligan in the 90s, a new singer on CD Louise Rogers plus the elder statesman of jazz harmonica Toots Thielemans. There鈥檚 a lovely example of Ralph Sutton and an Ellington selection while Curtis Stigers puts his talents behind a Joe Jackson song from the 80s. Ken Colyer and the band show what they can do while Coleman Hawkins is his usual self with a Hank Jones tune.
