A devastating earthquake has struck the city of Christchurch on New Zealand's South Island killing at least 65 people. As many as 200 people could still be trapped under collapsed buildings, and there are deep cracks in many roads, fires have broken out and pipes have burst causing flooding.

New figures show more than two million illegal cigarettes have been seized in East Lancashire in the past two months. They're thought to be responsible for four times as many deaths as drugs.

And the family of a Lancaster woman who was murdered by her husband in 1997 say they're concerned that he could come back to the area when he's released from prison.
