Time travelling in jazz

We go back to the constraints of the 1930s recording some small band jazz.

We find out how a jazz CD was produced with one microphone and no editing. The process is fascinating and the music is delightful. Also we drift into blues territory and hear from one of the artists involved in workshop and performances at the Artrix in Bromsgrove. There's music from Johnny Hodges, Stan Getz, Woody Herman, the World's Greatest Jazz Band, Ruby Braff and Chris Barber.
