Schools and Facebook
Your view on today's big news, great guests and Hits and Headlines, but what's the year?
1. SCHOOLS - 200 of England's worst performing schools will be closed next year and re-opened as academies, according to the government. What do you think of this idea? Is this just privatisation with a different name? Are we selling our children/grandchildren short? By contrast, what is good about your child's/grandchild's school?
2. FACEBOOK:LIKE? - There is speculation that Facebook could be sold off in 2012, with shares worth over $100billion. Earlier this week, there was the case of a defendant and a juror getting into trouble for using Facebook...so, for you, is Facebook friend or foe? Do you have stories about using social networking?
Also, a Newsy Twosome (2 songs with a theme) after 1.30; Hits & Headlines after 2.30 - what's the year?; School's Out after 3.30 - what are the kids describing?
PLUS GUESTS....
Jim Kerr from Simple Minds who are playing at Sherwood Pines on Saturday; Chesney Hawkes, who is appearing at Hucknall's Party in the Park next weekend & Dr Jeffrey Fewkes who is retiring after many years at Victim Support
