20 year old Bobbie Watts' world was shattered two years ago when her brother Mo was killed in a traffic accident. The crash turned her and her family's world upside down. Bobbie always had a love of singing but since Mo's death she hasn't had the confidence to perform. Her mum Linda contacted "Tonight's the Night" in the hope that the opportunity to sing in front of millions would give her a much-needed boost.

John decided to spring a surprise on Bobbie when she was working in a call centre for a catalogue company. He was playing a variety of tricky customers which Bobbie had to deal with. After much fooling around John finally revealed that Bobbie would be coming to the "Tonight's the Night" studio. Several weeks later during rehearsals Bobbie had an extra surprise - she'd be singing with pop princess Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
