A new 拢26m sports centre is being built in Luton to help tackle the town's obesity and health problems.

Luton Borough Council says it's one of the reasons why Inspire Luton Sports Village is being built in Stopsley.

In the UK an estimated 60% of adults and 31% of children are overweight.

Some experts believe obesity is responsible for more ill health than smoking. Being significantly overweight is linked to a wide range of health problems, including diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure and infertility.
