A new media project is launching in Ipswich to inspire young people not in employment, education or training.

Villa Cross Media is a pan-European partnership with training and outreach being run from the CSV Media clubhouse on Portman Road.

This week is is Poverty and Homelessness Action Week with the theme reflected at church services across the county.

Rachel's guest after 7am is Tim Mason, the team leader for Outreach at St Margaret's church Ipswich.

He explains how plans for an Emmaus community for Ipswich are developing.

Meanwhile over in Newmarket, churches are celebrating the work of the Open Door project which recycles and repairs furniture, providing homeless and vulnerably housed people with meaningful work and training.

The Suffolk Historic Churches Trust try and tackle the problem of lead theft, and two Suffolk churches get grants from the Woolfson Foundation for high-level repairs.

Tuddenham St Mary and Woodbridge's St Mary church have both received a grant of 拢5000.
