Gobekli Tepe
Gobekli Tepe is one of the most important archaeological sites in the world. Situated in modern-day Turkey, it was built neatly 12,000 years ago, right on the cusp between a world of hunter-gatherers, and a world of farmers.
The archaeological site is run by Professor Klaus Schmidt. He believes that the only way they would have had the manpower to build such a remarkable temple was if they had learnt how to farm domesticated wheat (einkorn wheat).
