In 1962 the Royal College of Physicians formally made the link between smoking and cancer. Today they say 6m people have died because of cigarettes but one-in-five of us still smokes. This is around 8m of us and the scariest prediction is that half of those people will die because of smoking.
Do you still smoke? Does it make you feel like a social outcast? Do people judge you? Badger you to give up? Where do you smoke? Is it one of life's few pleasures? Do you hate smoking? Are you terrified someone you love is killing themselves with fags?
There are calls from leading doctors today for cigarettes to be made much more expensive, for plain packaging and for curbs on smoking in films and on TV. What about an extension to the smoking ban?
How old is too old to have a baby? The Mail reports today that a year 66-year-old from Switzerland has just given birth to IVF twins. I think we can all agree that is extreme. But what about having a baby in your 40s.
There is a baby boom generally but the sharpest increase in birthrates are for the over-40s - it is nearly three times as common as it was in 1990.
We meet the Kent mum who had a baby in her 20s and has gone on to have two more in her 40s.

In spite of capsizing in shallow water only seconds from the shore, 193 people lost their lives aboard the Townsend Thoresen ferry that night.
