Are you worried about cuts to the British Army?
Iain Lee asks for you opinions on defence cuts.
The phone-in at 9, 'Are you worried about cuts to the British Army?'
The Defence Secretary will today explain how the Army will reduce its numbers by 20%. By 2020 the British Army will be half the size it was in the 1970s. The Army's former head, General Sir Mike Jackson, says reducing the number of soldiers from 102,000 to 82,000 will leave us with just enough. To compensate for the cuts to the regular Army, the number of deployable reservists will double to 30,000 and the Territorial Army will become integral.
