The Great British Story: A People's History The Great British Story at St Fagans: National History Museum near Cardiff.

Our Great British Story event at St Fagans: National History Museum near Cardiff was a big Welsh washout, yet torrential rain failed to dampen spirits. ´óÏó´«Ã½ Springwatch presenter and Welsh TV legend Iolo Williams hosted ‘A Question of History’ in the marquee and kept the audience smiling all day. Our panellists pulled out all the stops too, so another big thank you to Michael Wood, presenter of ‘The Great British Story – A People’s History’ on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Two, surnames expert Professor Kevin Schürer and the newest addition to the panel - archaeologist Professor Raimund Karl from Bangor University. Despite howling winds and lashing rain our partners ploughed ahead with their activities, bringing lots of information and inspiration to the public. From the Heritage Lottery Fund to the Cardiff Gypsy and Traveller Project, there was plenty to get stuck into. Diolch yn fawr iawn, thank you very much, to all involved.
