G4S boss Nick Buckles admits shambles over Olympic security

G4S chief executive, Nick Buckles, admits to MPs on the Home Affairs Committee that shortcomings over Olympic security amounted to a humiliating shambles.

The boss of Olympic security firm G4S has admitted that the company's failure to provide enough staff has been a humiliating shambles. In a 90 minute grilling by MPs the Chief Executive, Nick Buckles, said he regretted signing the contract to provide ten thousand security personnel.

Results from the 2011 census reveal a large increase in the population here in the East. In Ipswich alone it stands at 133,000 whereas ten years ago it was only 117,000, an increase of 16,000, the size of a small town. The Deputy leader of Suffolk County Council, Jane Storey, gives Foz her reaction.

Inflation has fallen to its lowest level since November 2009. The Consumer Prices Index dropped from two-point-eight per cent in May to two-point-four per cent last month. The Retail Prices Index, which includes housing costs, fell from three-point-one per cent to two-point-eight per cent. 大象传媒 Radio Suffolk's financial guru Brian Tora, from Investment managers J.M.
