Should funding for sports be a priority for the UK?

JVS asks for your opinions.

The phone-in at 9, 'Should funding for sports be a priority for the UK?'
Britain's greatest Olympian, Sir Chris Hoy, has called for continued funding for elite training, warning there could be a disastrous effect on future medal hopes if it goes. His comments, which are echoed by double gold medal winner, Laura Trott from Cheshunt, come after the Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt said he couldn't promise that current levels of funding could be maintained.

From 10, Mark joins JVS in the studio. Mark is from Hertfordshire and on their 17th wedding anniversary, his wife said she wants to leave him. They've been married for nearly 30 years, around the time that Mark was first diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. In the last 3 years, Mark's condition has got a lot worse and he now needs a wheelchair most of the time. He says his poor health and arguments over money have led to his wife's decision. Should Mark fight to save his relationship or let his wife go?
