From landing to take-off: airport turnarounds
A 'dispatcher' leads us through the one-hour turnaround of an aircraft as it prepares to fly back to Spain. Planes only make money when they are in the air, so it's vital to minimise the turnaround time on the ground. It's the dispatcher's job to make sure the plane is ready with fuel, bags, passengers and safety checks to take off in its designated slot.
