'The Crucible' - Act 4 Scene 3 - the jail scene (pt 1/3)
A dramatisation of the scene from Arthur Miller's 'The Crucible' between Elizabeth and John Proctor, where Elizabeth is trying to convince John to admit his guilt so the court does not have to hang him. Elizabeth agrees to speak with him. Proctor and Elizabeth discuss their children and the child she carries. This is a sensitive scene and one which shows a dramatic and marked change in the relationship between John and Elizabeth. They have learned to forgive each other and are now truly communicating.
