Police still appeal for information on the death of Richard Clarke

Police renew an appeal over the death of a man in Eye exactly three years ago today. 73 year-old Richard Clarke was killed on his driveway and died from head injuries.

In the news hour from 5pm, three years on and mystery still surrounds the death of a north Suffolk man. 73 year-old Richard Clarke was found collapsed on his driveway in Cranley Green Road in Eye on Saturday 22nd August 2009. Police believe Mr Clarke was the victim of an assault in which he got a fatal head injury, but they still haven't been able to come up with a motive for the attack. Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Neil Luckett, speaks to Mark Murphy.

The number of women in Suffolk attending cervical cancer screenings has fallen by 3% over the past decade. Figures from NHS Suffolk have revealed that more than one in five women aged between 25 and 64 are turning down the opportunity to be screened. Lesley gets reaction from the Chief Executive of Cancer Campaign in Suffolk, Karen Hare.

Suffolk Trading Standards has been using powers designed to combat terrorism, according to a report out today. The information was uncovered by campaign group Big Brother Watch via a Freedom of Information request. The group says it's obtained details from the County Council that show it used the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act to make test purchases of a puppy, dating agency services and at a house of horrors. Lesley hears from the county's Assistant Trading Standards Officer, Reg Ruffles.

In the first hour from 4pm, the driving force behind DanceEast, Assis Carreiro, is leaving to work at one of Europe's top dance companies. She's to become artistic director of The Royal Ballet of Flanders in Belgium. Assis joins Lesley for a chat in the studio, looking back at her time at DanceEast and looking forward to her future overseas.

After 6pm, charity walkers from Suffolk hope to highlight the need for a helipad for Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. Darren Betts was serously injured in a crash at Forward Green near Stowmarket last year and was taken to the hospital by the Air Ambulance. Darren has now fully recovered and is walking the 50 miles between the accident site and the hospital. Lesley chats to him and his mum Juliet. She also hears from Suffolk Central and Ipswich North MP Dr. Dan Poulter, who'd like to see an Addenbrookes helipad and who did some of the walk today.
