Volcanoes and global climate
An animation is used to explain how volcanic ash in the upper atmosphere increases average global temperatures. A volcano is seen erupting and spewing huge amounts of dust into the upper atmosphere. This dust is shown capturing incoming short wave solar radiation and trapping outgoing long wave radiation from the Earth's surface. The impact of volcanic ash on the net average temperature of the Earth is discussed. There is no narration in this clip.
