From Bix to West Coast Modern

A selection of the best in jazz music.

A wide range of jazz starting with Bix Beiderbecke in 1928 and touring through the fifties with offerings from Bud Shank, Al Cohn and Zoot Sims and Blue Mitchell. But then there鈥檚 also Connee Boswell in the Netherlands in 1935 and Coleman Hawkins in Hollywood in 1945. From the last few decades there鈥檚 Kenny Davern and George Shearing and then right up to date with Georgie Fame. Chris Biscoe pays tribute to Eric Dolphy and Andy Panayi with Mark Nightingale celebrates the music that came out of Newport.
