Fiona Rae's artistic freedom and techniques
Fiona Rae talks about the freedom she has to make her large scale paintings. Being resourceful with materials, techniques and open to ideas liberates her creative expression. The influence of Andy Warhol is important to her work to provide further inspiration. Rae uses computer software to develop her ideas, before applying them to the canvas. Text is combined within Rae's work with as much consideration as the exuberant application of colour on her large canvases.
