The trial and death of Socrates - escape or death? (audio)
Josias tries to persuade Socrates to escape on the grounds that his death sentence is unjust. Socrates counter-argues that it would be unjust to deprive the Athenians of his execution. Josias cannot understand his argument, stating that the Athenian way is to strike back when struck. Socrates is prepared to sacrifice his life in order to prove his point.
