How does an electric shaver work?
Braun designers explain how an electric shaver works and some of the innovations used in the latest designs. Modern electric shavers use an oscillating electric motor to drive the cutting blades. These are controlled by a pre-programmed electronic circuit which adjusts the power depending on the thickness of the beard. The blades sit under an ultra-foil which allows the hairs through but protects the skin. We see the different stages of manufacture from design to mass production.
