
Hare Krishna in Russia
An encounter with Hare Krishna devotees following a form of Hinduism in post-communist Russia. Presenter Reverend Peter Owen-Jones is surprised to encounter a noisy Hare Krishna gathering on the snowy streets of Moscow. He comments on the exuberance and enthusiasm of the followers as they chant and dance through the city, and places the growth of this branch of Hinduism within the context of the revival of religion after the atheism of the Soviet Union.
