How IT is used on a dairy farm
Farming in the 21st century is changing dramatically. With strict standards to maintain, traceability to guarantee and targets to hit, farmers are spending more and more time in front of computer screens. We visit a dairy farm where repetitive tasks, including milking and cleaning, are now carried out by robots. Detailed information about each cow is fed directly from the milking robot and from an activity meter around the cow's neck to the computer.
