Las Vegas draws its water from Lake Mead and from a series of underground aquifers. However, more water is taken out than is replenished by rain. Our guide looks at the problems caused by the lack of water and the programmes that are being run in schools to teach children about water conservation. These school programmes are delivered in an attempt to change the attitudes of schoolchildren towards water use.
