An introduction to the water cycle (pt 2/2)
A demonstration of the next process in the water cycle, water seeping through the rocks and flowing into streams, during a visit to the Peak District. A reporter visits the White Peak in the Peak District, potholing to show the groundwater and examining the rocks to show the effects of water flow. Water is seen seeping through the rocks, through a line of weakness and out of the hillside at a spring. The reporter shows the increasingly bigger streams. A digital animation displays the progress of the water cycle from rain to rivers.
