Mixed heritage, religion and politics in the Middle East - Jewish settlements and conflict (pt 2/7)

Reya El-Salahi travels to the disputed Itamar settlement to discover what life is like in a settlement, and why the settlers feel that they need to live in these areas. She is invited to the home of Rabbi Moshe Goldsmith, and he and his daughter tell the story of a family of Israeli settlers who were murdered in their home by two Palestinians. Reya also visits the Palestinian village where the murderers lived. She discusses the differences in the amenities of the villages.

This is the personal journey of presenter Reya El Salahi and also features contributors with extreme religious and political views. It deals with conflict in Israel and the Middle East from both the Jewish Israeli and Palestinian Arab sides. Issues of race, religion and contentious politics are explored.
