Internet trading means businesses are no longer tied to a specific location. With a computer and internet connection, entrepeneurs can run a business from any location. An estimated 70,000 people in the UK make a quarter or more of their income through internet trading. This has led to a decline in some traditional markets. A music fan describes his hobby business of trading music memorabilia from home. He explains the massive downturn in local record fairs but the possible benefit to local services such as local post offices. The owners of the Oban Chocolate Company explain how internet selling has allowed them to set up a business which can trade over a large area while benefiting from the support and setting of a small town.
