
Land reform - KwaZulu Natal (pt 1/2)
In KwaZulu Natal in South Africa, farming is one of the few ways to make a living. Land ownership is therefore an important issue. Under apartheid, black people were prevented from owning land but now the government is helping them to reclaim their land. Land reform has made slow progress. In the meantime, some white farmers have suffered attacks and illegal land occupation. The government is involved in assisting and training farmers to work as commercial farmers to benefit the South African economy.
