Looking at the value to UK firms of switching production to a low-wage country. Examining a large Yorkshire firm that moved its production of suits to Budapest. Hungarian wages are one fifth of the rate paid in Yorkshire. The business is thriving and the local Hungarians are happy – until, perhaps, there's another move to a yet cheaper supplier.
