Lessing, whose novels include The Grass Is Singing, The Golden Notebook and the Canopus in Argos: Archives science fiction series, discusses the many changes that have taken place in her literary work, personal life and political allegiance with great candour.

Did You Know?

Doris Lessing was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2007. At the time, she was only the 11th woman to have received the prestigious award in the prize's 106-year history.
