To mark the 60th anniversary of the 1953 floods, we re-run our 1993 documentary, produced and presented by Sarah Kings.

To mark the 60th anniversary of the 1953 floods, we re-run our 1993 documentary. It was made by then-reporter Sarah Kings. She went all the way round the Norfolk coast, recording the memories of some of the people who were involved at first-hand in the floods. From Snettisham to Sea Palling, and then on to Great Yarmouth, she interviewed people who were flooded out and others who literally waded in to rescue others. The documentary also contains some frank and emotional accounts of people鈥檚 unsuccessful efforts to save the lives of neighbours and loved ones.
