Parkinson's Disease
Over 120,000 people in the UK have Parkinson's but not many of us know what it is or what causes it. This week Dr Chetna Kang and Toby Friedner will explain.
It is estimated that around 1 in 500 people are affected by Parkinson's disease and there are currently 127,000 people in the UK with the condition.
It's caused by a loss of nerve cells in part of the brain and there is no cure at the moment.
This week Dr Chetna Kang and Toby Friedner talk to people with the condition and find out what help is available locally.
And as always they want to hear from you. If you're affected by Parkinson's disease or know someone who is, what's been your experience of getting diagnosed and treated and how do you manage your symptoms?
Listen and call in Sunday from midday.
