Changes to the Kombai people of Papua New Guinea
The Kombai people of Papua New Guinea are increasingly influenced by the modern world. The area is changing as a result of the gold, mineral and timber companies which operate there. Christian missionaries built an airstrip and established a village in the area. They brought with them a new religion, new cultures, new technologies and a new way of life.
