Massive Head Trauma perform their own particular brand of surreal grungy metal mayhem with powerful rhythms and compelling lyrics.

Noted for their anarchic stage shows, including bizarre props and make up, they have been gaining a reputation among metal and non-metal fans alike.

Formed in November 2011 by various established local musicians and writer/poet Rev Memphis, the Worcester and Kidderminster band have been constantly gigging in the area and were a hit at last year's Worcester Music Festival, so we decided to invite them back.

Worcester Music Festival

Worcester Music Festival
36 venues welcomed more than 240 acts from across the world at this year's Worcester Music Festival, in a move that saw the organisers extending the reach beyond just local musicians.

Acts from as far away at Austalia and India queued up to play during the three day event, which was staged in aid of two local charities.

They've been going for four years and have just released their fourth album, after scooping up virtually the entire trophy table at this year's British Blues Awards.

Malvern's were offered a number of deals by record companies - but turned them down in favour of a Dragon's Den-type approach (of using crowd funding and business investors).

Running Man came out this week on CD after being debuted at the 100-Club in London two weeks ago.

The X Factor

A Worcester teenager says he wasn't prepared for the range of emotions and challenges he faced by being a contestant on the X Factor.

16-year-old Giles Potter didn't make it through to the live shows in this years TV talent show, despite making the final six in the boys category.

Giles says he is going to audition again next year, but says anyone thinking about entering the competition for the first time should prepare themselves emotionally.
