The book “Bristol Slaver” is launched this week – Penned by “Pirate Pete”. The book has gained local interest following the popularity of the film “12 Years a Slave".

The book “Bristol Slaver” is launched this week – Penned by Peter Martin from Bristol, better known as “Pirate Pete”. The book has gained even more local interest following the popularity and BAFTA success of the film “12 Years a Slave". Kevin is attending the launch of the book at The Plantation Caribbean Bar and will speaking to those there. Also, Kevin brings you news of a new Ska and Raggae Festival which is set to take place in Gloucester in the summer, plus we hear about The Cabinet Office being keen to promote the honours system more widely to address the unrepresentative number of nominations for people from black backgrounds.
