Kevin revisits the subject of Female Genital Mutilation following a Bristol teenager鈥檚 meeting with Michael Gove this week. 17 year old Fahma Mohamed met the Education Secretary who told her he'll write to every school by Easter, giving head-teachers guidance on how to spot warning signs of the practice which originated in Africa, and urging teachers to do all they can to protect girls. We also speak to a Ugandan who lives in the West about his thoughts on a controversial new bill under which homosexuals could be given long prison terms in Uganda. Also, as the Great British Sewing Bee has returned to our screens, we talk to a black textiles expert from Cheltenham who explains the African tradition of why the West use patterns yet people from African/Caribbean background cut directly to fabric. And we head to Wells where young musicians have written their own music telling the story of the West County charity 鈥淪end a Cow鈥 which helps African families out of poverty.
