Bo Rumba is originally from Latvia - but relocated to Bewdley a decade ago after his parents bought a pub.

His first experience in music was playing in a jazz band and eventually turned to electronica.

This was his first ever gig - and his email back to us was: "Finally my mum's got a reason to be proud of me".

Well, she should be - because, along with his brother Rob, he tore up our stage at Lakefest with one of the best sets of the weekend!

The 大象传媒 Hereford & Worcester Musicians' Masterclass
As part of this year's Worcester Music Festival, we brought our ever-popular Musicians' Masterclass to The Hive in Worcester - putting together a panel of industry experts to answer those all important questions, such as:
  • How do I get signed?
  • Is there an easy way to land gigs in other areas?
  • How do I build a fanbase?
  • How do you write a number one song?
  • What's the best way to sell your music?

This week, we hear from tour manager Tom Oliver, Martin Chambers of The Pretenders, Brian Marr of The Marr's Bar and Verden Allen of Mott The Hoople about getting gigs outside of your own area.
