Dementia in Young People

Dr Chetna Kang finds out why some young people get dementia.

Dementia is usually associated with older people. But it can affect younger people too.

A rare condition called Neimann Pick Type C counts dementia among its symptoms and affects children.

Early onset dementia affects people under the age of 65 and in some cases as young as 40.

This week we'll meet people who have experience of these rare conditions and talk to those affected by Neimann-Pick and early onset dementia.
